Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Stripped of Honorary Royal Roles


Minutes after the Queen stripped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of all of their remaining honorary Royal roles, the couple announced they were permanently quitting the Firm and would not be returning as working Royals.

The Queen asserted her authority following a turbulent week in Palace-Sussex relations. Her Majesty completely stripped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, of all of their remaining honorary Royal roles, the Daily Mail reported.

The monarch said she was “saddened” that the Sussexes new life in America meant that they could not perform the “duties that come with a life of public service.”

In a rare statement, the Queen confirmed that eight military roles and patronage is afforded to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were being revoked and redistributed to “working members of the Royal Family.”

With Prince Philip now in the hospital, the Queen had no choice but to seize control. Royal experts say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “crossed the red line” by walking away from the monarchy.

Among the roles Prince Harry, a former soldier on the front lines in Afghanistan, will be relinquishing are: President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Force Commandant of the Royal Air Force Base Honington, Honorary Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy Commands’ Small Ships and Diving, Patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, patron of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League.

Meghan Markle will relinquish her royal patronage of the Royal National Theatre and the Association of Commonwealth Universities, as well as vice president of the Queens Commonwealth Trust.

In a shocking statement issued minutes later, Prince Harry and Meghan Markel announced that they would be quitting the Firm permanently. Further, they issued a not-so-veiled dig at the Queen’s comments.

“We can all of the life of service,” the couple said in a statement released via their media partners. “Service is universal.”

This week, the couple announced will be appearing in a CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey that airs on March 7 in which they are expected to go into detail about their sudden departure from the Firm. Only a few days earlier, the issued a black and white photograph which featured them lying on the grass at their $11 pound sterling California home revealing Meghan was pregnant.
