After Brad Pitt reunited with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston during the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards, fans went into a frenzy.
The two exes were married from 2002-2005 and split up after Pitt left Aniston for Angelina Jolie. Seeing the golden pair’s relationship meet its demise came as a shock to many, especially to Aniston herself, who was reportedly devastated.
Pitt reached out to Aniston in 2017 to apologize for what happened, and a source told the Mirror that “He’s been determined to apologize for everything he put her through, and that’s exactly what he did.”
The pair are said to have become good friends since then, but are they more than that?
Body language expert Patti Wood, author of Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language and Charisma, offered up her thoughts on the matter in an interview with OprahMag.
According to Wood, Pitt and Aniston possess a deep connection. “His award is in his hand, but he holds it low, below his waist. What’s important to him is her.”
However, Wood also said that while Aniston clearly cares for Pitt, she is still protecting herself. “Her expression is a very sincere combination of laughter and tears. Her chest sways slightly from him at the heart. She cares for him, but is protecting her heart connection.”
There was another small (ok, not so small…) detail that wasn’t lost on many viewers. Aniston was sporting a giant diamond ring on her left ring finger and is reportedly dating director Will Speck.
While nothing has been confirmed, it might mean that a second chance with Pitt isn’t quite in the cards.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, Pitt broke his silence when questioned about the massive attention that his reunion with his ex-wife received.
“I don’t know. I’m blissfully naïve and I’m going to stay that way.” Pitt said that he hadn’t read any headlines about the matter.
