Sorry, Supernatural fans. Your boy Sammy just got busted for assault and public intoxication in Austin, Texas.

Jared Padalecki was handcuffed outside his favorite hometown bar on Sunday.

Supernatural Star Charged with Assault and Intoxication

Early Sunday morning–or very late Saturday night, depending on your perspective–Jared was apparently drinking heavily at Stereotype Bar in Austin.

According to TMZ, that is his favorite watering hole, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be welcome back anytime soon.

Jared allegedly punched a bartender AND the general manager of the bar. Then he got into a fight on the sidewalk when one of his buddies took him outside to calm down.

That’s when the cops showed up.

Even more cringeworthy? According to bystanders who saw the whole thing, Jared tried to flash some cash at the arresting officers. It doesn’t sound like he actually tried to bribe his way out of trouble, however.

Jared was handcuffed and taken into police custody, where he was held on $15,000 bail.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Jared appears to be so drunk he can barely stand up. While being questioned by police officers, he nearly does a backbend over the hood of the cruiser.

And yes, when the police step away for a moment, Jared does seem to be flipping through a fat wad of cash.

Even if Jared manages to evade charges, you can bet that both the bartender and manager were calling up a personal injury attorney on Monday morning.

A civil suit against the actor is a real possibility.

End of the Road for ‘Supernatural’

Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins decided to call it quits after 15 seasons. The show is currently airing its final season.

But Jared had already scored the leading role in the revival of Walker, Texas Ranger, so it’s not like he’ll be gone from our TV screens for long.

The 37-year-old actor has been married to fellow Supernatural actor Genevieve Cortese since 2010. They have 3 young children.

Jared has been open about his ongoing struggle with depression and created the Always Keep Fighting campaign in 2015 to raise money for charity.

He and his on-screen brother, Jensen Ackles, are very close in real life. Both actors have gone into business in the Austin area, with Jared stepping up as the co-owner of San Jac Saloon and Jensen running a brewery called Family Business–a nod to Supernatural.

Fans Rally on Social Media

With their incredibly long-running show coming to an end, fans are worried about Jared. They flocked to his most recent Instagram post to express their concern and hope that he’s okay.

The Supernatural fandom is very passionate about their boys–who, in turn, are typically generous and engaged with the fans.

Everyone is hoping that Jared gets the help he needs and makes things right with the victims.
