It looks like Max Ehrich isn’t taking his split from Demi Lovato so well, but the songstress is “completely embarrassed” by his post-breakup behavior.
Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich ended their engagement, and I guess Max is being anything but chill about it.
After news of the split went public, Max decided to hit up social media to claim he learned about their breakup through a “tabloid.”
“Imagine finding out to [sic] the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” he shared to his Instagram Stories. “While your [sic] in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people.”
Soon after, an inside source told E! News that Max absolutely knew about the split, and he’s “just trying to stay relevant.”
Max continued to double down on his claims, again posting on Instagram that he and Demi “haven’t even officially ended anything to each other. Literally.”
Oh, and he accused Demi of allowing him to be “bullied” by her fans, and asked, “Please stop trying to thank you, next… Me” — you know, a weird way of referencing Ariana Grande’s popular breakup song.
The soap star also declared his love for the songstress, sharing a bunch of her songs.
I don’t know if he thought this would win back Demi’s affections. These since-deleted social media posts aren’t doing him any favors.
“Demi wants no contact with Max at this point,” a source told E! News. “She is completely embarrassed at the way he’s been acting and putting their relationship on blast via social media. She wants nothing to do with him.”
The source also confirmed that Max has “tried to reach out” and is “in denial” that the engagement is over.
Demi, who has remained largely silent on the breakup, is concerned over his “erratic behavior” and “does not want the situation to escalate.”
But again, she has yet to publicly speak about any of it.
It’s been less than a week since reports surfaced of their split. But apparently, the relationship “started going downhill” just months after Max proposed.
Sources claim there was a lot of arguing, and the singer realized “she didn’t know who Max truly was and didn’t think he had good intentions.”
I’m sure her doubts were amplified by the concerns of her mom, Diana De La Garza, and her close friends, who have been warning Demi about Max. They believed he was just in it for the attention — as in, media attention to boost his acting career.
After all, he popped the question less than three months after their relationship began in March. And, “she has been seeing how much Max’s fame increased since being with her and it left a bad taste in her mouth.”
In other words, she “thinks he’s sketchy” and she couldn’t trust him. He was just in it for the fame!
