Justin Timberlake was in Paris with Jessica Biel to attend a Louis Vuitton fashion show when a notorious prankster grabbed his leg and tried to drag him to the ground.
An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that the incident “all happened very suddenly,” after the man “somehow got around the barrier protecting the arrivals area and pounced on Justin’s leg.”
A video obtained by ET shows Justin in his LV-approved swag–including one of those cross-body fanny packs that we’re all wearing now–as he escorts his wife from their car into the fashion show.
While he’s walking, a man dives at him from behind and grabs his leg. Justin tries to get free, but the guy just won’t let go.
Finally, security guards are able to wrestle the culprit away. Justin takes a moment to reassure Jessica before they turn to face the photographers, all smiles despite what happened.
The show must go on for these celebrities.
It seems that the culprit was not a crazed fan desperate to hold onto Justin. Instead, it was Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukranian-born “prankster” whose only joke is ambushing celebrities on red carpets and fashion shows.
He frequently makes an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, where it seems like he should really be on some kind of watchlist by now.
The so-called comedian ambushed Kim Kardashian 3 separate times in Paris, attempting to kiss her and grab her body.
He actually managed to kiss model Miranda Kerr on the cheek during a red carpet appearance. Sediuk even crawled under America Ferrera’s dress once during a Cannes red carpet.
Sediuk has also ambushed other male celebrity celebrities.
He grabbed Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio on separate occasions. At the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3, he tried to kiss Will Smith.
He also attempted to tackle Brad Pitt during the premiere of the first Maleficent film, earning him a travel ban from the United States.
This guy should really have a personal injury attorney on speed dial, because he’s going to get the crap beat out of him someday.
Sediuk’s most notorious “prank” might be the 2016 incident when he grabbed Gigi Hadid from behind while she was leaving a fashion show with her sister, Bella, and lifted her off the ground.
The model fought back, elbowing and kicking until Sediuk dropped her and ran away.
“While I consider Gigi Hadid beautiful, she and her friend Kendall Jenner have nothing to do with high fashion. By doing this, I encourage the fashion industry to put true talents on the runway and Vogue covers instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram,” Sediuk later explained.
Uh huh, sure.
His repeated attacks on celebrities are a form of protest, not just dangerous stunts to get attention.
Ironically, the Timberlake Tackle wasn’t even the only disruption during Paris Fashion Week.
On Monday, YouTuber Marie Benoliel crashed the Chanel runway dressed up as the iconic Coco Chanel herself. She posed for a few moments before Gigi Hadid herself confronted her.
Gigi did NOT look amused as the French YouTube star interrupted the catwalk, ushering the interloper offstage with a firm grip on the woman’s arm.
