Cindy Crawford’s Teenage Son Arrested for DUI

Presley Gerber, the 19-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, partied way too hard on December 30. Maybe he was celebrating New Year’s Eve… Eve?

Well, technically any amount of partying is too much when you’re underage. But Presley–who looks like every hunky bad boy from every mid-2000s young adult novel–took things too far.

Speeding Through Beverly Hills

Presley was pulled over at about 4 AM after speeding through Beverly Hills in his shiny new Tesla. He reportedly “reeked of booze,” so the officers who pulled him over administered a sobriety test. We don’t know exactly what his blood alcohol level was that night, but it doesn’t really matter. California has a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking and driving.

The teenager was released at noon on New Year’s Day without bail. This is his first arrest–and hopefully his last. The charge is a misdemeanor, but he and his family are reportedly taking the incident seriously. You have to imagine that his parents weren’t thrilled about getting a call in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Wake Up Call for Presley?

His lawyer told TMZ that “Presley Gerber takes this very seriously and is taking the necessary steps to address the allegations.” If he is convicted, he’ll lose his license in California for at least a year. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for the teenage model, and he’ll never drink and drive again.

Cindy Crawford’s kids have, so far, only earned positive headlines. Both Presley and his sister, Kaia Gerber, are following in their parents’ footsteps as models. Considering they also inherited their parents’ looks, it hasn’t been hard for Presley and Kaia to book campaigns for major designers. He has walked for Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.

Their mother’s legacy was built on being an all-American beauty who appealed to advertisers and fashion designers alike. Kaia seems to be following Cindy’s playbook, but Presley might be more of a bad boy. Regardless, he has a Banksy tattoo–something I’m sure he’ll regret more in 20 years than a DUI.
