It looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ready to put down roots in California.

The royal couple has purchased a stunning, multimillion-dollar estate in posh Montecito.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s New Luxury Estate

The estate is located within the heart of Montecito, California. This seaside Santa Barbara County is famously home to a multitude of Hollywood heavy hitters — despite being a full two hours northwest of downtown Los Angeles. However, it’s that distance that has attracted Hollywood’s biggest names.

The neighborhood’s laid-back luxury and mostly paparazzi-free atmosphere is obviously a welcome retreat from the hustle in Hollywood. Current residents include Ariana Grande, Ellen DeGeneres, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Even Oprah Winfrey herself lives here, with her lavish 70-acre “Promised Land” compound.

Sounds like it might be the perfect fit for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, considering they recently had to take legal action against photogs for breaching their privacy at their L.A. rental home.

Although the royal couple was staying at Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills estate within a gated community, a photographer managed to snap unsolicited photos of the fam — including 14-month-old Archie — at their home.

Estate Was Purchased in Mid-June by Royal Couple’s Trust

The royal couple’s newest digs cost a cool $14.65 million. Records show that the estate quietly sold in mid-June.

Harry and Meghan’s names don’t appear on grant deeds related to the property. It was actually sold to a mysterious trust with a deliberately opaque name, though the trust appears to share a mailing address with Meghan’s longtime Hollywood business manager.

Docs reveal they secured a $9.5 million mortgage to acquire the estate, which sits on a private, gated street.

Even though the estate came at a hefty price, it sounds like the Duke and Duchess managed to score the property at a discount. The seller, Russian businessman Sergey Grishin, paid a whopping $25.3 million for the estate back in 2009. He had apparently attempted to sell it many times since then.

The Mediterranean-style home was built in 2003. It offers nearly 19,000 square feet of living space — boasting 9 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. The estate also includes a library, gym, wet and dry saunas, and an elevator. The royals won’t get bored, either. Their new mansion also includes an arcade, a game room, and a home theater.

Outside, this 7.4 acre compound boasts a children’s cottage, a tea house, tiered rose gardens, century-old olive trees, a full-size tennis court, and a swimming pool.

Additionally, it also comes complete with a two bedroom guest house, perfect for Meghan’s mom to visit.
