When Gwen Stefani made her appearance at the Grammy Awards, it caused fans to start speculation that she’d gotten fillers or plastic surgery, while others called her “unrecognizable.”
While at the Grammys, instead of her signature black eyeliner and red lipstick, Gwen opted for a more natural look that some believe gave her a frozen appearance.
People immediately took to social media to make their thoughts known about the way Gwen looked and accused her of undergoing plastic surgery.
“Gwen Stefani… WTF did she do to her face? Unrecognizable… Shame,” said one commenter.
Another said, “Hey @gwenstefani STOP with the plastic surgery/botox on your (once) beautiful face! You’re starting to look as fake as Madonna!”
“What has Gwen Stefani done to her face? And don’t give me that natural aging malarkey bc what’s happening ain’t natural,” read another tweet.
What critics didn’t like the most is that her face didn’t seem to move or have much elasticity, which they claim is a surefire way to know if someone has had plastic surgery or not.
“That Gwen Stefani’s beautiful face doesn’t move at all anymore makes me so sad,” said one person.
“Gwen Stefani’s face is frozen,” said another.
A Twitter user said, “Gwen Stefani’s face is 99% fillers and 1% skin.”
Another tweeted, “Gwen Stefani’s face looks so tight it hurts.”
After Gwen walked the red carpet, she and Blake Shelton performed the duet “Nobody But You,” a love song. She wore her usual red lipstick and a custom Dolce & Gabbana ball gown for the performance.
Other outfit changes included a gray and mint green Grecian-style gown and a black jacket with denim shorts worn over black-printed tights.
Gwen Stefani has faced similar criticism in the past, such as back in April when she attended the ACM Awards. Critics said she “overdid it” with “plastic surgery and lip injections.”
Thankfully Gwen doesn’t seem to be taking the criticism to heart, and so far has been ignoring it by not responding to any of the speculation about her appearance.
