In a shocking new revelation, Olivia Newton-John is speaking out about her stage 4 cancer diagnosis. While appearing on the Australian talk show, “The Project,” on Thursday, Olivia talked about her diagnosis and how she’s feeling about it.
The Grammy-award winner caused her fans to breathe a sigh of relief when she revealed that her health was “fantastic” during her show appearance. “I’m doing really well,” she said to the audience. “Thank you for your love and support, I really appreciate it.”
Her current diagnosis isn’t a new battle for her, as she’s fought against cancer three times now already. The first time was in 1992 when she was initially diagnosed with breast cancer, and in 2013 following a car accident, doctors found cancer in her shoulder.
In 2018, Olivia revealed to her fans that she once again had cancer, but this time it was stage 4 and it had spread to her back. Doctors found a tumor located at the base of her spine.
On Thursday, Newton-John said that she no longer believes she has stage 4 cancer.
“I believe your belief system is part of the healing. At my last MRI, which is an exam where they look inside, things are shrinking, going away, staying the same and I’m living well with it and I’m feeling great,” explained Olivia.
Although her situation seemed dire, Olivia has chosen to remain positive about the battle she’s facing. She has totally ignored the idea of going through the 7 signs of depression.
“I just want everyone to know, I’m here, I’m doing great,” she said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m doing really well and I’m really healthy.”
“It was a challenging year because I broke my sacrum and I had to learn to walk again and all these things. But I am strong and I am back and I’m feeling good and loving every minute.”
