Why We’re Obsessed with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski

When Emily Blunt accepted her SAG award for  A Quiet Place, her speech reminded us of why she and hubby John Krasinski are one of the best power couples in Hollywood.

Both were in tears as she thanked John, who wrote and co-starred in the supernatural thriller: “You are a stunning filmmaker, I’m so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you. Thank you for giving me the part, you would have been in major trouble if you hadn’t, so you didn’t really have an option, but thank you.”

Perfect Dinner Party Guests

The couple manages to find the sweet spot between glowing admiration and wry humor every time they talk about each other. There’s no doubt that Emily and John support each other 100%, but they don’t take themselves too seriously.

In fact, they remind us of another favorite couple–John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. They seem like people who’d be an absolute treat to have dinner with. Maybe Emily could bring along her Mary Poppins Returns costar Lin-Manuel Miranda, too?

Timeline of Their Romance

John and Emily met in 2008, and immediately knew they’d met “the one.” John told The Daily Beast that “[t]he best days of my life started when I met my wife. She’s one of the coolest people, she’s so talented, she’s beautiful, and she’s certainly out of my league.”

They married in a small ceremony in Italy in 2010. They now have two little girls named Hazel and Violet. Even their kids’ names are adorable and perfect!

There have been no scandals. No gross stories in the tabloids. No hints that they’re hiding a dark secret. Just two awesome, talented, good-looking people who love and support each other unconditionally.

Spreading the Love

Not content to have the perfect marriage, they’ve played matchmaker at least once for friends and family. Emily Blunt set up her sister, Felicity, with her The Devil Wears Prada costar Stanley Tucci. They married in 2012.

And honestly, if we keep talking about how perfect these people are, I’m going to need some emergency chocolate. There’s #relationshipgoals, and then there’s #supercrazyjealousy.
