Watching people fall in love on prime time television is a surreal experience. But what happens after the final Rose Ceremony? Did your favorite Bachelors find their soulmates, or did they move on once the cameras stopped rolling?

Of the 35 Bachelors and Bachelorettes, a third are married to someone who did not appear on the show. Another third are currently single. Just 17 percent of contestants are married to a person they met during the show.

Where Are They Now?

Alex Michel

The very first Bachelor chose Amanda Marsh during the finale but did not propose. They dated for a few months after filming but eventually split. Alex is currently single.

Aaron Buerge

He proposed to Helene Eksterowicz, but things didn’t pan out after the finale. In 2009, he married Angye McIntosh. The couple has three daughters and lives in Missouri.

Andrew Firestone

The third Bachelor proposed to Jen Schefft in the 2003 season finale. Things didn’t work out for the couple, but he later married Ivana Bozilovic. They have three young kids, and Andrew owns a string of hotels in California.

Bob Guiney

Bob Guiney got his start as a contestant on The Bachelorette before getting his own season as the star. He gave Estella Gardinier a ring in the finale of his season, but they broke up soon after. Bob married actress Rebecca Budig in 2003. They divorced 6 years later, and he’s now married with a young son.

Jesse Palmer

The pro footballer didn’t propose during his season, though he and Jessica Bowlin continued to date for a few months after the show wrapped. He’s currently dating a model named Emely Fardo and hosts The Proposal.

Byron Velick

Although Byron Velvick gave his leading lady, Mary Delgado, a ring during the finale, the pair never made it to the altar. They stayed engaged for 5 years before going their separate ways in 2009. He is currently married with a young daughter.

Charlie O’Connell

Actor Jerry O’Connell’s handsome brother didn’t propose to Sarah Brice in his finale, but they did date on and off for several years. He’s currently married to Playboy model Anna Sophia Berglund.

Travis Lane Stork

Travis hasn’t been as lucky in love as some of the other Bachelors. He and Sarah Stone broke up just after their season aired. He was married for 3 years between 2012 and 2015, but he’s now single.

Lorenzo Borghese

Everyone’s favorite Italian prince caused a reality TV scandal when he dumped Final Rose winner Jennifer Wilson to date his second choice, Sadie Murray. That relationship also fizzled after a few months.

Andy Baldwin

Although he and Tessa Horst called off their engagement following the season 10 finale of The Bachelor, Andy Baldwin wants you to know that he’s living his best life. He’s a physician with the U.S. Navy these days.

Brad Womack

What a mess! In his first shot at love, Brad Womack decided not to choose any of the contestants. He returned 4 years later and proposed to Emily Maynard, but it wasn’t meant to be. Brad also dated former contestant AshLee Frazier. He’s currently single.

Matt Grant

He’s happily married to Rebecca Moring these days, but Matt Grant’s time on The Bachelor didn’t end well. He proposed to Shayne Lamas, but the pair split soon after filming.

Jason Mesnick

Jason Mesnick initually picked Melissa Rycroft during the finale of his season. He soon realized that runner-up Molly Malaney was the one who got away. Jason and Molly reconnected, and they’re now married with two children.

Jake Pavelka

Another nasty breakup from Bachelor Nation! Jake Pavelka chose Vienna Girardi during the finale of his season, but they broke up soon after in a storm of cheating rumors.

Ben Flajnik

He proposed to Courtney Robertson, but their love didn’t last. In fact, Ben and Courtney broke up before their season even finished airing!

Sean Lowe

How about a Bachelor success story? Sean Lowe proposed to Catherine Giudici during the finale of his season. They married on live TV, and they’re now parents to two boys.

Juan Pablo Galvais

He didn’t offer Nikki Ferrell a ring, but she and the former soccer star continued to date for a few months after their season ended. These days, Juan Pablo is happily married to Osmariel Villalobos.

Chris Soules

Chris isn’t having a great time post-Bachelor. After proposing to Whitney Bischoff during the 2015 finale, the couple ended up calling it quits. In 2017, he was involved in a fatal car accident in his home state of Iowa and pleaded guilty to a related charge.

Ben Higgins

Ben Higgins proposed to Lauren Bushnell during his season, and the couple developed their own reality show called Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? They parted ways in 2017, and Ben is currently single.

Nick Viall

Nick Viall might not have found everlasting love with Vanessa Grimaldi, but he remains hopeful that he’ll get there someday. He’s not worried, though, and is happy to be focused on his acting career.

Arie Luyendyk Jr.

Let’s end with a happy story, shall we? Arie proposed to Becca Kufrin at the end of his series, but he knew he’d made the wrong choice before their season finished airing. He then proposed to runner-up Lauren Burnham instead. They’re having a baby girl later this year.
