Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are threatening an ex-bodyguard with a multi-million dollar lawsuit, after he called the rapper “moody” and “needy.”
But get this: its actually the second time that Kim and Kanye have threatened the former bodyguard with legal action for blabbing.
The bodyguard in question is Steve Stanulis, who worked for Kanye back in 2016. The guy is a retired NYPD police officer, and he’s also worked for other A-list celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Downey Jr.
Now, Kim and Kanye are mad that Steve went on the Hollywood Raw Podcast a few weeks back and made what they call “false and defamatory” statements — so they’re threatening the guy with a $10 million lawsuit if he talks smack about them again.
In case you missed it, Steve called Kanye the “moodiest” and “neediest” celeb who’s ever hired him. He also claimed that the rapper had “ridiculous rules,” like requiring the bodyguard to stay “10 paces behind him on a city street” — you know, so he didn’t block the paparazzi’s shots.
The best dig, though? He’s convinced that Kim and Kanye call the paparazzi on themselves.
“There’s no way [paparazzi] doesn’t get called up front. There’s no way every time they are leaving, all these people know about it,” Steve said on the podcast. “There’s definitely somebody calling ahead.”
According to the famous couple, Steve allegedly signed a confidentiality agreement in February 2016. That agreement says he can’t speak about their personal or professional lives.
This is the second time they’ve threatened the guy for blabbing about them, though. Last time was back in May 2016. They also asked for a public apology back then.
They are ready to press charges if he talks about their lives again.
Steve’s publicist, Zack Teperman, told TMZ that “no breach of any confidentiality agreement was done.”
And yes, Steve has his own publicist now. He apparently left the bodyguard biz in 2016 and has started dipping his toes into the acting pool.
Teperman claims that he was only on the podcast to promote his new film. Steve only brought up “old stories that were already out there.”
“For Kanye and Kim’s counsel to send out a threatening letter to bully my client against his rights is unwarranted. My client has already made it clear that he respects Kanye, their time working together,” he continued.
But the publicist added, “If Kanye and Kim wish to continue this further, that is up to them, but I think their time and money would be better suited helping out with more pressing matters in our society than what happened many years ago.”
