Grab your stretchy pants, running shoes and your best deodorant –– trying to pin down this story is a workout. After a lot of back and forth, Amanda Bynes and her fiancé, Paul Michael, have announced that they’re now expecting a baby.
Things have been rocky between Amanda Bynes and Paul Michael, but they seem to have put those differences aside. Why?
Bynes took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share an ultrasound image of her new baby!
“Baby on board!” wrote Bynes alongside her sonogram. Her fiancé, Michael, also took to Instagram to share their big news. He shared a photo of himself with Bynes that she’d already previously shared this week, along with the ultrasound photo, captioned “Baby in the making”.
Amanda Bynes and Paul Michael were recently engaged, but allegedly broke up just a few weeks later. This was after Bynes announced the engagement over Valentine’s Day weekend. She introduced her new fiancé in an Instagram video, saying:
“Hey everyone, this is Paul, my fiancé. I’m so lucky. As you can see, he’s drop-dead gorgeous. And, he’s also the best person on the face of the earth.”
Reportedly, Lynn Bynes, Amanda’s mother, wouldn’t legally allow her to get married. Her mother currently controls the former actress’s affairs and finances. Reportedly, Bynes’ mother hadn’t yet met Michael when the engagement was announced. The young lovebirds met one another while living in the same sober living facility.
After breaking off the engagement, Bynes was ordered into a psychiatric facility, which her fiancé later claimed to be a “residential treatment, which is called inpatient.”
Just one week ago, Michael spoke exclusively to Page Six and said that their Instagrams were hacked. He claimed they were still very much still together, and that “She’s doing really well, besides anxiety and trauma.”
Amanda Bynes is known for her work in film and television throughout the 1990s and 2000s, rising to prominence as a child star on Nickelodeon’s All That sketch comedy series and her own spinoff, The Amanda Show.
She then went on to star in What I Like About You on The WB, later appearing in films Big Fat Liar, What a Girl Wants, She’s the Man, Hairspray, Sydney White and Easy A. Most of those films are available for view on streaming networks, provided you have a little wifi security.
Bynes took a hiatus from acting in 2010 as she started to struggle with various personal problems, including legal issues and substance abuse.
