William Shatner and his ex-wife are divvying up all their assets after the two finally reached a divorce settlement on Tuesday.
The settlement includes everything from land to animals, ashes of exes, and even horse semen. Yeah, you read that correctly.
William and Elizabeth Shatner were married for more than 18 years before William filed for divorce in December. The former couple listed their date of separation as February 1, 2019. This marks the end of marriage number four for 88-year-old William Shatner, and number two for Elizabeth, 61.
The Star Trek actor has an estimated net worth of $100 million. But according to divorce documents, the couple had a prenuptial agreement, so it was likely a smooth transaction that didn’t require much intervention from a divorce attorney. The prenup agreement states neither of them will receive any spousal support from each other. As per the prenup, though, Elizabeth does get a cool $2 million in one lump sum.
That just leaves everything else that the former couple has shared over the years, including beloved pets and homes.
William is walking away with the couple’s two dogs, Macchiato and Double Espresso. As his love of horses is well-known, it’s not surprising that he’s also taking two of their horses, Renaissance Man’s Medici and Powder River Shirley. He’s also taking all the horse equipment, and uh, “all horse semen.” Yep, it’s spelled out in the settlement.
To be clear, William breeds horses, so I guess it makes sense.
Elizabeth, a former horse trainer, is also keeping two horses: Belle Reve’s So Photogenic and Pebbles. She also gained visitation rights to the other horses, as long as she gives her ex notice.
In terms of property, William is going to hang on to their Studio City home and their ranch in Three Rivers, California. He did agree to occasionally let Elizabeth visit the ranch, in case she feels like harvesting fruit or visiting the graves of her first husband and several horses who are buried there.
Elizabeth will be keeping their homes in Versailles, Kentucky, and in Malibu Cove. She’s also keeping her share of her family’s farm, located in Indiana. The garages won’t be empty either, as she’s keeping a 2015 Mercedes Benz ML65, a 2007 BMW X5, and a 2004 Ford Explorer.
The judge has already signed off on the settlement, so it looks like that’s a wrap on the 18-year marriage. These two are both single and ready to mingle again.
