Demi Lovato went on The Ellen Show on Thursday and spilled the tea about her latest celebrity crush: Rihanna!
“Look, I just wanna make out, okay?” Demi said to the camera, addressing Rihanna. “I mean, we could do a song together too. Maybe we make out in the video. I don’t know.”
Demi said this after Ellen brought up that last time Demi visited the show, she said she wanted to kiss the 32-year-old “Needed Me” starlet.
Demi is 27 years old and openly bisexual. Not gonna lie: she and Rihanna would make a hot couple. Not to mention these two talented singers would probably make a banger of a song if they collaborated!
Demi’s never been shy about her personal battles with mental illness, relationships and drug use. Reputation management aside, her willingness to be transparent about her vulnerabilities makes her messages of inspiration more poignant. And she’s been through a lot of rough stuff this past year that she’s ready to talk about:
Demi recently got a new tattoo after her sudden breakup with Austin Wilson. She explained more about the personal ink to Ellen.
“It is basically like, it’s an angel. Her dark wings are disintegrating. She’s being lifted up, guided by her inner light by three doves,” she said. “I have grown a lot spiritually. Like, I started going to church and I just re-found my relationship with God. So that to me was representative of The Holy Trinity.”

For the incredible @ddlovato 💖 “Divine Feminine” ✨ Destruction Effect 𝐗𝐕𝐈𝐈𝐈 We created this piece together to represent a rebirth of the spirit. The dark wings represent the bad times, their fading away is how she moved forward. The light from within represents the inner strength necessary for the change and the doves, pulling her up, symbolize the reach of an higher state of consciousness. Congratulations on your inspiring journey Demi, honored to have represented this for you.
The “Cool for the Summer” singer opened up to Ellen about her eating disorders and addictions. Demi has been sober since her last heroin relapse that put her in the hospital.
“Ultimately, I made the decision that got me to where I am today,” she said of her sobriety. “It was my actions that put me in the position that I’m in. I think it’s important that I sit here on this stage and tell you at home, or you in the audience or you right here that if you do go through this, you yourself can get through it,” she said.
The former Disney star continued, “You can get to the other side, and it may be bumpy, but you are a 10 out of 10. Don’t forget it. As long as you take the responsibility, you can move past it and learn to love yourself the way you deserve to be loved.”
