Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are certainly excited as they get ready to welcome their new bundle of joy into the world. And what better way to celebrate than to go shopping for baby clothes together? Say it together with me: “Awwwwww!”
Multiple sources confirmed just last month that Sophie Turner is pregnant and expecting her first child along with her husband, Joe Jonas. A source revealed to JustJared, “the couple is keeping things very hush hush but their friends and family are super excited for them.”
Another source revealed that the couple “told their families recently and everyone is ecstatic and so happy.”
It seems that since the word is now out, Sophie and Joe now feel confident about doing what most other expectant parents do–shopping for baby clothes! They were spotted this week in Studio City, California entering a baby store, where they picked up a few baby-related items.
“Sophie and Joe picked up several boy toys such as action figures, boy pilot and NASA costumes and Sophie was saying how cute everything was,” said the source. “It seemed like they were only interested in male items.”
Despite their interest in boy baby items, neither Joe nor Sophie has confirmed the gender of their baby. No purchases were made, so it’s tough to tell.
“They didn’t end up buying anything and left the store after about 10 minutes. They both were very nice and Sophie was wearing baggy clothing, so no bump was showing,” said the source.
“[It] did seem like they were shopping for a boy.”
Joe Jonas was wearing an all-black outfit during the shopping excursion, while Sophie looked awfully comfortable while wearing a blue and white sweatsuit combo.
Ironically, Sophie Turner wasn’t always such an obvious fan of Joe Jonas. In an interview with ELLE, she revealed that she “hated” the famous boy band before she met her future husband.
“My friends and I were not Jonas Brothers fans. There was this band in the UK called Busted. They had a hit called ‘Year 3000.’ It was amazing, and we were huge Busted fans.”
“Then the Jonas Brothers covered the song and made it massive. And Busted broke up. We thought it was all the Jonas Brothers’ fault, so we hated them.”
Thankfully after Sophie eventually met Joe, they ended up hitting it off right away. With their busy schedules, though, they spent lots of time on their cellphones to feel more close together. “We talked for hours and hours and hours, and I wasn’t bored. It wasn’t contrived, it wasn’t small talk–it was just so easy,” said Sophie.
“Soon, we were inseparable, and then I went on tour with him. With Joe, I always felt like I was the one who was punching, like, way above my league. And I still feel like that,” she gushed.
“He’s so handsome, talented, funny, charismatic. I’m really lucky to be with him and have someone like him want to be around me and spend time with me.”
