Unrecognizable ‘Mighty Ducks’ Actor Arrested for Meth, Burglary

A very sad arrest took place on Sunday for the attempted burglary of a Marysville, CA home. The suspect in question is Shaun Weiss, an actor who played Greg Goldberg in “The Mighty Ducks” film franchise by Disney that began in 1992.

Fans around the country are shocked by the 40-year-old actor’s mugshot. In it, he looks nearly unrecognizable.

Why Was Shaun Weiss Arrested?

A homeowner called the cops on Sunday after he found an unknown man in his garage.

Police who arrived at the scene said Weiss “displayed symptoms of being under the influence of methamphetamine.”

Weiss had smashed the passenger-side window of the homeowner’s car and was sitting inside the vehicle when law enforcement showed up.

Weiss was held in Yuba County Jail under a $25,000 bond. We don’t yet know if he has posted bail.

What Happened to Shaun Weiss?

It’s utterly tragic to see these stories in the news. Child actors are notorious for developing substance abuse issues after being thrust into the spotlight at such a young age.

These are just a few of the many child stars who have battled drug addiction:

It’s sad to see the mugshot of Shaun Weiss. According to police, the 5’6 actor weighed only 110 pounds at the time of his arrest.

Shaun Weiss’ Arrest Record

In July 2017, Weiss served 12 days in the Los Angeles County Jail for petty theft. Five days after his release, officials arrested him again for possession of meth in Burbank. The judge sentenced him to 90 days in jail.

In August 2018, cops arrested Weiss for public intoxication in Oroville, CA. Weiss then announced he was going to rehab. It’s not clear if that’s something he ever did.

Weiss is a talented actor. Besides “The Mighty Ducks,” he’s had roles in “Freaks and Geeks,” “Boy Meets World” and “The King of Queens.” His most recent role was as a bus driver in the 2008 comedy “Drillbit Taylor.”

We send love to the talented Shaun Weiss and hope he pulls a Robert Downey Jr., escaping his drug dependency once and for all and coming back stronger than ever.
