The New Year means awards season, and I am here for it!
The 77th annual Golden Globes kicked off awards season on Sunday, and Hollywood’s biggest stars got to strut their stuff down the red carpet for the first time in 2020.
And while some celebs were certainly dressed to impress, it looks like some of these stars missed the mark. Here are some of the biggest fashion mistakes from the Golden Globes red carpet this year.
These oversized puffy sleeves just don’t fit in with the rest of the sleek dress. They look like they were pulled off of another dress as an afterthought.
Anna looks like she’s channeling her angsty, early teen years from the 90s. I know the 90s are very in right now, but this just isn’t glamorous enough for the Golden Globes.
Did Lucy decide to join Silver Kanye’s opera on a floating barge?
While on the red carpet, Kirsten Dunst revealed that she picked out the lace for this dress while in bed. I think what she meant to say was she borrowed this lace from her grandmother’s bed.
I have a very hard time saying a single bad thing about Salma Hayek, but this dress just isn’t working. It looks like she accidentally wore the top to another outfit. Don’t worry, Salma, you still look bangin’, even if you look like you got dressed in the dark.
I can’t. I mean, this reminds me of a very bad dance recital costume I had when I was a kid. At least Shailene’s doesn’t have matching pants, I guess.
These two dot patterns just don’t really go together, and the dress just isn’t glam enough for the red carpet.
Jennifer Lopez looks like she didn’t get the memo that Christmas is over. She showed up at the Golden Globes looking like the angel on top of the tree!
If Jennifer Lopez is the angel, then Jodie Comer is the Christmas tree itself. This shapeless gown isn’t very flattering.
While Sofia Vergara looks beautiful, her look seems better suited for the senior prom rather than the red carpet. The color-matched purse really drives it home.
Was there some Golden Globes red carpet sabotage going on? Because I think someone snuck into Sofia Carson’s dressing room and hacked up the bottom of her skirt!
Oh, Goop. Why did you do this to us? This frilly see-through number would certainly be something in any color, but this shade of brown looks like it should have been flushed.
I’m not going to lie, I kind of like the top half of this dress. Cate has always had an old-Hollywood type of look, and those are exactly the kind of vibes I’m getting from this gown. However, the bottom needs more OOMPH to balance out all that sparkle and those big sleeves.
