It looks like Justin Timberlake is trying to put that Alisha Wainwright drama behind him, as he finally breaks his silence by posting a public apology to his wife, Jessica Biel.
It has only been about two weeks since photos of Justin Timberlake set the internet ablaze, but not for the usual reasons. This time, Justin was making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Namely, for getting all touchy-feely with someone who wasn’t his wife.
The 38-year-old superstar was caught redhanded getting cozy with his Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainwright. Photos and video surfaced of the pair hanging out in a New Orleans bar late at night together, but they didn’t look like they were hanging out as “just friends.”
In fact, 30-year-old Alisha is seen with her hand resting on Justin’s knee. On top of that, the two were seen touching each other, and appeared to be holding hands at one point. Rumors really started to fly after people started to notice that Justin’s wedding ring appeared to be absent.
Of course, sources defended Justin, saying that there’s “nothing going on between them” and that they were just “out with all the cast, crew, makeup artists,” and that “everyone was just hanging out in a social setting.”
Have you seen the photos? Justin and Alisha look like they’re doing slightly more than “just hanging out.”
Anyway, after almost two weeks, Justin is finally breaking his silence over the whole ordeal. He took to Instagram Wednesday evening to post a lengthy apology.
“I stay away from gossip as much as I can,” he begins, “but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love.”
He claims that “nothing happened” between him and Alisha, but then also says, “I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son.”
Justin continues by apologizing directly to his “amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation.”
So, what do you think? Did Justin cross a line after having a few too many? Or did nothing happen at all, and it got blown out of proportion?
