The cast of Friends will be there for you, just maybe not quite like they’ve been there before.

Even though the hit TV show ended 15 years ago in 2004, fans still can’t get enough of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey. Good thing there are 10 whole seasons to binge on Netflix–because Jennifer Aniston, aka Rachel Green, is still very adamant that there will never be a revival of the show.

Or will there?

Jennifer Dishes to Ellen

Jennifer dropped a bomb while visiting Ellen DeGeneres that will excite Friends fans everywhere.

Charlie Puth was hanging around The Ellen DeGeneres Show when Ellen brought out Jennifer to surprise him. Apparently Charlie is a Friends superfan. Anyway, after making his dreams come true, Ellen followed in the footsteps of basically anyone who has talked to Jennifer lately by asking about a reboot of the TV series.

As usual, Jennifer shot it down quickly: “Like a reboot of the show? No.”

Everyone involved in the show, from the producers to the actors, including Jennifer herself, have always said there will be no revival of the show. Co-creator Marta Kauffman said that a reboot would only let down the fans, dubbing it, ‘The One Where Everyone’s Disappointed.’

But Jennifer did share a little something while visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show that might give fans a glimmer of hope.

Ellen pointed out that the whole gang had gotten together recently, as evidenced by Jennifer’s post on Instagram featuring the six Friends actors. It was the first time that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc had been seen together since the show ended.

“We’re Working on Something”

“Listen, we would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is,” Jennifer told Ellen, adding, “So we’re just trying. We’re working on something.”

She also joked that it could be “a huge, huge, huge movie,” but also said, “I don’t want to lead people on.”

Perhaps it could be a reunion that explores the friends’ lives 15 years later? You know, with new, age-appropriate episodes like ‘The One With the Best Wrinkle Cream.’

Jennifer confirmed that the main reason the group of friends reunited a few weeks ago for dinner was because they “miss each other” and all six of them “happened to be in the same part of the world.”

All ten seasons of Friends are currently available on Netflix; however, the show is set to eventually move to HBOMax thanks to a bidding war.
