Lindsay Lohan has had her fair share of interesting and even strange romances. From her famous coupling with female DJ Samantha Ronson in 2008 and romance with a young Wilmer Valderrama, she isn’t shy about dating celebrities.
But this pop beauty seems to be more attracted to money and status than fame. Her famous falling out with Paris Hilton is rumored to be because of her relationship with Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, after all. She also dated Vikram Chatwal, an American hotelier 14 years her senior, and was even engaged to Russian businessman Egor Tarabasov.
Now, her tastes are changing even more. Rumor has it that Lohan is being wooed by an heir, but not one that is set to inherit a business empire. Instead, a Saudi Prince reportedly has his eyes set on the actress and singer. And if reports are true, he is pulling out the big guns to get her to stick around.
We know for sure that Lindsay met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, known as MBS in the Saudi media, last year at a Formula One Grand Prix race. Nothing else has been officially confirmed by either’s reps, but sources close to the couple have a lot to say.
According to friends of Lohan, the crown prince has given Lohan a credit card for her spending and has flown the actress and pop star on his private jet.
MBS has the money, too. In 2015 his net worth was estimated to be around $17 billion USD, and he is the prince that is known to spend his wealth. In the past, he has purchased a $500 million yacht, dropped $450 million on a painted by Leonardo da Vinci, and purchased a $300 million French chateau.
The Saudi royal family as a whole has an estimated worth of roughly $1.4 trillion. From a financial perspective, Lohan could choose a lot worse.
This prince is known as the ‘progressive’ one and has recently upped the need for top auto accident attorney’s in Saudi Arabia by greatly increasing the road traffic after lifting the strict ban that prevented women from driving.
Don’t be fooled by this willingness to be flexible, however.
In a report released in June, the UN said that there was no way that MBS did not have involvement in the death of a journalist for the Washington Post. Jamal Khashoggi was assassinated in late 2018 just moments after stepping into a Saudi consulate in Instanbul.
The UN report believes that MBS ordered the death of Khashoggi directly.
When King Salmon bin Abdulaziz al Saud, now 83, dies, MBS is set to inherit the Saudi throne and all of the power, responsibility, and money that goes with it.
While Lohan’s rep has denied their romantic connection, it’s possible the couple is just keeping the relationship under wraps while Lohan works as a judge on The Masked Singer in Australia.
Lindsay has also been directly tied to Saudi Arabia recently with her new movie Frame, where an American woman leaves her husband and moves to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. There is no information yet on filming or production of Frame, however, so it is unclear if the movie will even exist.
