During Oscar Season, rumors about Bradley Cooper’s relationship with Irina Shayk cast a shadow over the promo tour for A Star Is Born.

Although they repeatedly denied any issues, the rumor mill has started up again. Are they headed for a breakup?

A Very Private Couple

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk began dating in 2015. They welcomed a daughter, Lea, in 2017. The couple is hardly ever pictured together on the red carpet, preferring to keep their private lives out of the cameras.

“That’s why it’s called personal because it’s something for you and your family,” Shayk told Glamour UK in an interview this February. “Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet.”

Although they attended the Oscars together in February, they haven’t made an official appearance together since. In May, the Victoria’s Secret model attended the Met Gala solo.

Hanging by a Thread

Here’s what an anonymous insider told In Touch Weekly: “Bradley and Irina have been on the verge of splitting for months but have tried to make it work for the sake of their daughter. They both have busy lives and careers which has made the process very long and drawn out. He is fully immersed in his work.”

This tipster continued to spill the tea, divulging that the couple “never had a strong foundation to begin with.”

“They have very little in common and to be honest, their relationship was based on mutual physical attraction,” the source said. “That’s about it! I have been around them many times and seen them barely speak to each other.”

Another source dished to Page Six, explaining that, “Things are not good. Neither one is happy. The relationship is hanging by a thread.”

What About Lady Gaga?

It didn’t help that Bradley Cooper had off-the-charts chemistry with Lady Gaga. I mean, we all saw that Oscar performance. Even though they were playing it up for the audience, there was an undeniable sizzle between the stars.

Lady Gaga finally made a public comment about her split from fiance Christian Carino over the weekend. Before she played “Someone to Watch Over Me” during her Jazz & Piano concert in Las Vegas, she said, “Last time I sang this song, I had a ring on my finger, so it’ll be different this time.”

Gaga and Carino called off their engagement just before the Academy Awards. There was gossip at the time that the split might have had something to do with Cooper–but Gaga insisted on Instagram that he’s merely “a true friend.”
