Jenelle Evans, who appeared on Teen Mom 2 in 2011, has reportedly lost custody of all three of her children.
A North Carolina judge has stripped Jenelle Evans, 27, of custody of her children: sons Jace, 9, and Kaiser, 4, from past relationships; and daughter Ensley, 2, who she shares with her husband, David Eason.
Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans, already had custody of her oldest son, Jace. She will also take over legal custody of daughter Ensley. Jenelle’s ex Nathan Griffith will take over legal custody of his son, Kaiser. Until further notice, Jenelle and husband David are restricted to only an hour of supervised visitation a week.
According to sources, Child Protective Services described the state of the home as horrific, and “it was filthy, and there were holes in all of the walls.”
Jenelle was seen sobbing in court as she was told that she had “failed to protect the children while they were in her care.” Jenelle and her husband were ordered by the judge to undergo drug tests once a week, plus counseling and parenting classes.
The ruling comes only one month after her husband fatally shot the family’s French bulldog, claiming it had behaved aggressively toward their toddler daughter.
It was reported that David was particularly cruel to the dog: he grabbed the dog by the throat, slammed it on the ground, and threw the dog before stepping outside with a pistol and shotgun to shoot the puppy to death. This is what prompted officials to initially remove the kids from the home.
It also quite possibly prompted her firing from MTV as well. Though the network had already ended their relationship with David back in February of 2018, after he allegedly posted several homophobic tweets. They’ve now also since stopped filming with Jenelle as well.
MTV says they have no plans to continue covering her story in their upcoming season.
The reality star now says she’s fighting to regain custody of the kids, arguing they were taken without her consent.
Jenelle claims she’s working on cooperating with her legal team to bring them home as soon as possible. However, considering the tumultuous nature of the household, it seems like it’ll be an uphill battle.
She’s also looking to begin marriage counseling with her husband to attempt to repair their marriage.
