Kit Harington, the Targaryen formerly known as Jon Snow, checked into the luxe Privé-Swiss retreat program just weeks before the Game of Thrones finale aired earlier this month.

A representative for the British actor explained that the 32-year-old “decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat.” Apparently, he had some “personal issues” to work on.

“He Just Needs Peace and Quiet”

An alleged friend of Harington’s told Page Six, “He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.”

Their source added that Harington’s wife Rose was “extremely supportive” of the decision. And it seems she wasn’t the only one either. Apparently, other friends also agreed that he could use some rest.

“Right now, he just needs peace and quiet,” explained the unnamed friend.

Harington has been utilizing psychological coaching, mindful meditation, and cognitive behavioral therapy at the facility to deal with negative emotions and stress, which costs over $120,000 a month.

His Leading Role in GoT Has Taken its Toll

“The final day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine… I felt fine… Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit,” Harington said about filming the final scenes of GoT during an interview with Esquire.

“Then they called, ‘Wrap!’ and I just….broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.”

The character of Jon Snow had been a part of the show from the very first episode all the way to the last. A documentary about the end of GoT shows Harington crying when he learned of his character’s fate.

There was much fan outcry during the final seasons of the show, with trolls coming out of the woodwork online to harass some of the lead actors. Harrington famously replied that the haters could go “f*ck themselves,” while Emilia Clarke took a gentler approach to disgruntled fans.
