Are you ready for your Monday morning dose of celebrity gossip? Here’s what you need to know, from the college admissions scandal to Kim Kardashian’s brave, bare-faced selfie.
As the fallout continues for the actresses caught up in the college admissions scandal, Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin (along with the rest of those caught in Operation Varsity Blues) were slapped with a major lawsuit.
Jennifer Kay Toy, the mother of a teenager with a better-than-perfect 4.2 GPA fell short of acceptance at the same colleges where other students allegedly paid their way in, wasn’t having it. Toy filed a $500 billion class-action lawsuit last week for emotional distress, among other claims.
Many fans were outraged when writer and director James Gunn was fired last year for a series of Tweets. The questionable “jokes” were unearthed by conservative online commenters, causing Disney to remove Gunn from the helm of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Apparently, after multiple conversations with the head honchos at Disney about how sorry he was, Disney decided to welcome him back. The cast of the film should be happy–especially Dave Bautista, who has been very vocal in supporting Gunn on Twitter. Do you think he deserved a second chance?
Paris Jackson–MJ’s 20-year-old daughter and an aspiring actress/singer/model–has been in and out of headlines for a few years. Unfortunately, the spotlight has not always been kind to her.
After Finding Neverland brought decades-old sexual abuse allegations back into the light, many people demanded that Paris weigh in on her father’s guilt or innocence. She claimed that defending him was “not my role.”
On Saturday morning, TMZ reported that Paris had been rushed to the hospital after an apparent suicide attempt and placed on a 5150 hold. She clapped back in a series of tweets, calling the story “lies lies lies omg more lies.”
An anonymous source from her camp stated that Paris simply received medical treatment after an accident at home. Photographers spotted her out on a casual date with her boyfriend, Gabriel Glenn, later that day.
Remember Mama June? The reality star–and mother of Honey Boo Boo–managed to stretch her 15 minutes of fame from Toddlers and Tiaras into her own TV show. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo ended when June’s boyfriend turned out to be a convicted sex offender. However, WE tv gave her a 2nd chance with a new reality show about her massive weight loss.
But things broke bad for her this weekend, when a domestic violence call to an Alabama gas station ended with both June and her boyfriend in handcuffs. Officers found drug paraphernalia and crack cocaine on the couple.
Will her reality show be canceled–again? Or does June deserve a 3rd chance?
Kim Kardashian posted a striking “I woke up like this” selfie on Sunday morning. It showed angry red patches all over her face, especially near her eyes.
Kim was first diagnosed with psoriasis in 2011. However, she noted last year that things were getting worse with her skin. Fans have reached out with treatment suggestions and stories of their own struggles after Kim opened up about her skin condition.
